Bion-hybrid material in black
Greta®Fenster_dinkel is an innovative window made of innovative bion-hybrid material. Black pigments and shredded spelt husks are incorporated into the Salamander material. The surface is given an organic texture and a wood-like feel.
Unique feel to the touch and unique look
Black surface coloured through and scratch-resistant
One material right into the window rebate
CO2 savings thanks to bound, organic material
Improved shrinkage and bending properties
Unique due to dinkel
Spelt husk is left over from the processing of spelt grain. Instead of returning the organic material - and thus the CO2 - to the cycle, Salamander stores it in the window profiles. Greta®Fenster_dinkel combines sustainability and design.
The spelt husk improves the stability of the mixture in terms of expansion and flexural strength. As a result, darker colours - even black - are possible while the material is dyed through. Instead of a film coating, the surface is made entirely from the spelt material: Scratch and impact resistant and continuous right through to the rebate. Architects and designers speak of a monolithic look.
Greta®Fenster_dinkel is a sustainable alternative to wooden windows, particularly for sustainable renovation projects, but also for new build projects - and adds another exciting touch to the design of a building.

Advantages of Salamander Greta®Fenster_dinkel
Recycling & CO2 Footprint
Greta®Fenster_dinkel uses 100% post consumer material in the profile core. The use of spelt husk in the top layer further improves the CO2 footprint. Depending on the service life of the window, over 60% CO2 can be saved.
Carbon vault for 50 years
Biotopes such as moors are considered CO2 vaults because they store carbon dioxide for a long time. Greta®Fenster_dinkel follows the same principle. The CO2 from the organic materials is stored for the lifetime of the window.
Increased flexural strength
Longer service life thanks to increased flexural strength. Daily use of windows puts stress on the material. Greta®Fenster_dinkel material advantageous stability features.
Increased length expansion
Less expansion - technically "shrinkage" - means that windows can be built larger or have slimmer and sleeker proportions.
